Because there wasn’t much news this weekend, here’s the teaser trailer for Season Three of Sherlock. It doesn’t tell us anything new but all your favourites are in it so I’d imagine that you’d be kinda interested to see it if you haven’t watched it a couple of dozen times already.

Red is Coming to TV in Pokemon: The Origin
We’ve probably all watched the Pokemon TV series that spawned off the Pokemon video game franchise. People who have played/watched both know that the original star of the game was Red (or Blue if you played the Blue Version) but he never appeared in the TV series. That honour went to Ash Ketchum.
Now, Red is getting his day in the sun. At a Pokemon event in Tokyo on Saturday, we saw the first official announcement of a new anime based on the original game starring Red called Pokemon: The Origin.
Avatar to Get Three Sequels Instead of Two Because Money
I kind of wondered whether stretching stories to make more movies and, therefore, money would become a thing in Hollywood after The Hobbit was stretched from two to three movies. Well, it looks like James Cameron and 20th Century Fox have taken notice. The Avatar trilogy has been expanded to an Avatar quadrilogy as the two planned sequels will now be three sequels.

Sony is Working on a Gran Turismo Movie
Just when you thought that Hollywood had run out of ideas, they go out of their way to prove it yet again. On the heels of the rejuvenation of the Fast and the Furious franchise and the announcement of Need for Speed and Hot Wheels movies, Sony is getting into the game with their own car racing franchise.
Rumours say that Sony is working on a movie based on its Gran Turismo game franchise with the producers of Fifty Shades of Grey at the helm.
Supernatural to Get a Spin-off
Yesterday’s Supernatural panel at the San Diego Comic Con had an exciting piece of news for fans of the long-running WB/CW series. A spin-off series is currently in development at The CW.
The current plan is to introduce a new character who would serve as an anchor for this new series in or around episode 20 of Supernatural’s current season. That episode would effectively be a backdoor pilot to this spin-off.

The Avengers 2 is Avengers: Age of Ultron
At the end of the Marvel movies panel at Comic Con, Joss Whedon spilled the beans on the upcoming sequel to last year’s big blockbuster The Avengers. Rather than Thanos showing up after his appearance during the credits in The Avengers, we’re getting another classic comic villain.
Coming in summer of 2015 is The Avengers: Age of Ultron.
DC Comics to Follow-up Man of Steel with Batman/Superman
SyFy Greenlights Sharknado 2
How Man Of Steel Should Have Ended
I quite enjoyed Man of Steel. It hit enough of the usual comic book lore moments while still having its own unique story elements to set it apart from the typical DC Comics lore. It was also a pretty good summer blockbuster popcorn movie at the same time.
However, it wasn’t perfect. I thought the end fight could have lost 15 to 30 minutes without hurting the movies. Fortunately for me, the gang from HISHE kind of agree with that.
