Even Norman Reedus is Scared of Zombies

Just because you’re one of the genuine good guys of Hollywood doesn’t mean that you can’t be pranked. Just ask Norman Reedus who was victimized by The Walking Dead co-star Andrew Lincoln and Greg Nicotero, TWD zombie special effects genius, with the help of Nick Santonastasso.

Just because Daryl is a total bad ass doesn’t mean that Norman is ready for the zombie apocalypse.

Star Wars: Episode VII Undergoing Massive Changes in Pre-Production

star-wars-episode-vii-teaserRemember when you were excited for a new Star Wars trilogy to continue the story beyond what was already in the Expanded Universe. Noted Star Wars fan J.J. Abrams was directing. Oscar-winner Michael Arndt was tabbed to write the script. Everyone and their mother was meeting with Abrams. Some of the top behind the camera in Hollywood were onboard, including John Williams and Ben Burtt.

Now, the latest rumours about Episode VII are a little less promising. Nothing is confirmed or set in stone but rumours that indicate retconning established Star Wars canon concerns me.

Doctor Who: The Time of The Doctor Review

doctor-who-the-time-of-the-doctor-headerThe recent Doctor Who Christmas special marked a couple of milestones for the series. Not only did The Time of The Doctor mark Matt Smith’s final appearance as The Doctor and Peter Capaldi’s first appearance in the titular role but it was the series’ 800th episode dating back to 1963.

Given the hit or miss nature of many of the 11th Doctor’s adventures, would his final story at the helm of the TARDIS be another Moffat classic or would Eleven go out with a whimper rather than a bang?

The Sean Bean Film Death Infographic

Different actors have different skill sets. You hire Christian Bale if you want someone who can act his ass off regardless of his role. If shirts must be removed, Matthew McConaughey will be there. And if you want someone to die, there is no one in Hollywood better than Sean Bean. The man hasn’t met an on-screen death he couldn’t own.

Before we shut it down for Christmas break, here’s a spoiler-filled look at all of Sean Bean’s deaths.

Take on Who – The Definitive Doctor Who / A-Ha Mashup

The pencil drawn animation style of the music video for A-Ha’s Take on Me is iconic. Every knows it. So what would it look like if someone did a Take on Me video using eleven Doctors, some iconic moments in Doctor Who history and a lot of running? A little like that video below.

Haven: The Lighthouse Review

haven-title-cardThis season of Haven has been a bit up and down. The first half of the season was ever improving as the cast of characters came into their own without Audrey to hold their hands through every potentially catastrophic situation. Then, Poochie arrives. And by Poochie, I mean William. The character sideswiped all the progress made in the first half of the season as everyone spent the final half of the season talking about William.

Would this season finale make bring an end to Poochie or does more William await us after this?

How Much Does a Kingdom Under the Mountain Cost?

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug (which I’ve heard pronounced no less than a dozen different ways) comes out in theatres tomorrow. Unless you’re my sister who somehow managed to score tickets to an early showing tonight…

Anyway, the second part of The Hobbit trilogy will introduce us to the dragon Smaug and his lair, the  the Kingdom Under the Mountain, Erebor. To celebrate the release of the new movie, our friends at Movoto valued Erebor which is priced to move seeing as it’s the perfect size for numerous dwarf families (or one dragon).

Haven: When the Bough Breaks Review

haven-logoApparently my definition of a two-part season finale and SyFy’s definition of a two-part season finale are different. I thought that we’d get both parts of the two-part season finale this week. Nope. It’s Part 1 this week and Part 2 next week.

This week, we see what happens when everyone is pushed to the brink having to deal with a Troubled person that pushes everyone to the limit as people all over Haven die.

Captain Picard Sings Let it Snow

Since we’re less than three weeks from Christmas, I thought it was time to get into the spirit of the season. I’ve turned the fake snow on (though you’re probably seeing more than enough outside) and I have a Star Trek: The Next Generation Christmas carol for you. A Christmas classic sung by Patrick Stewart? Make it so!
