Conan Reviews Injustice and Unveils Zod DLC

For the casual gamer, there may not be a better or more relevant reviewer than Conan O’Brien. I’m serious. Watch his Resident Evil 6 or Tomb Raider reviews and you’ll find someone who is quite capable of pointing out some unintended faults in games that the core gamer just takes for granted.

Anyway, Conan and trusty nerd assistant Aaron Blair took a look at the recently released Injustice: Gods Among Us and unveils the new Zod DLC. He also backs me in saying Superman could beat Batman in a fight. Like that’s still a question.


Building (Critical) Consensus: Injustice: Gods Among Us

injustice-gods-among-us-box-artI don’t know if I’ve mentioned this before but I’m a DC Comics guy. I feel as though that would make a good t-shirt. Specifically, I’m a Superman guy. I know I mentioned this one last week. Now, we finally get our chance to pit Superman against Batman. Oh, and most of the other DC Comics regulars also appear in NetherRealm’s new fighting game Injustice: Gods Among Us.

We’ve gotten a DC Comics fighting game from a Mortal Kombat developer before. That was the entirely forgettable Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe by Midway. With NetherRealm now at the helm of Mortal Kombat and having just released the best story in fighting game history in Mortal Kombat (9), could they do something special with Injustice?

Injustice: Gods Among Us Demo Impressions

injustice-gods-among-us-posterIt seems exceedingly rare that a developer or publisher releases a demo of an anticipated upcoming game. Fortunately, we got one for NetherRealms upcoming DC Comics fighting game Injustice: Gods Among Us. The game has been hyping the debate between comic book fans as to whether Superman or Batman would win in a fight but is there more to this game than that?
