League of Legends is Shutting Down Dominion

league-of-legends-dominion-headerAs much as I love playing support on Summoner’s Rift, I love playing support on the Howling Abyss and Crystal Scar. While the supports have a very defined role in 5v5 League of Legends play, a well-played support can really mess up plans in the other game modes.

Sadly, your time on the Crystal Scar is coming to an end. Riot has announced that on February 22nd, they will be disabling the Dominion game mode and removing Crystal Scar from the custom games menu.

Legends Rising: A League of Legends Documentary Series

Ahead of today’s start of the 2015 League of Legends World Championships, Riot released a six-part documentary series looking behind the scenes at six professional players including SK Telecom mid Faker, TSM mid Bjergsen, paiN Gaming ADC brTT, Origen mid xPeke, Flash Wolves support SwordArt and OMG ADC Uzi.

Riot Isn’t Interested in Crowdfunding eSports Prize Pools

Riot Games’ head of European eSports, Jason Yeh, has come out as saying they’re not interested in getting fans to contribute to their World Championship pot with an anonymous employee being a lot more blunt with his opinion.

Riot Unveils Fantasy LCS

fantasy-lcs-beta-headerGrowing up and even to this day, it seems as though more people are interested in their fantasy sport teams than their favourite teams and players. Loyalty is nice but nothing grabs people’s attention like competition with friends and random folks on the internet.

Riot Games are trying to cash in on the popularity of fantasy sports by launching their own fantasy eSport. Starting this summer and currently in beta, Riot is launching Fantasy LCS for summoners who might make a better team manager than team member.
