Game Trailers Roundup for November 10, 2014
Thanks to BlizzCon, this week’s Game Trailers Roundup is absolutely jam-packed with teasers, trailers and other info about your favourite and soon to be favourite Blizzard games. Overwatch, StarCraft II: Legacy of the Voice, Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft and Heroes of the Storm all had new trailers unveiled at BlizzCon.
And if Blizzard isn’t your thing, you can always watch trailers for the new Dragon Age or Total War.

BlizzCon 2014: Blizzard Announces New IP Overwatch and StarCraft II Expansion
This weekend was the annual ode to all things Blizzard known as BlizzCon. While most developers and publishers use platforms like E3, Gamescom, the Tokyo Game Show and even CES to announce and show off their upcoming creations, Blizzard waits until their annual November gathering to do so.
At the 2014 edition of BlizzCon, Blizzard had a few tricks up their sleeve. First was the announcement of their brand new IP, Overwatch, the reveal of the third part of StarCraft II and a bit more news about Heroes of the Storm and the Warcraft movie.

Blizzard Cancels Next-Gen Project Titan MMO
Is the MMO as we know it dead? After seven years in development and having never been officially announced or unveiled by the company, Blizzard revealed that they have cancelled Project Titan, the next-generation MMO that was to succeed World of Warcraft.

PlayStation Network, Xbox Live and Battle.net All Under Weekend DDoS Attack
Sunday was not a good day to try to game online. A group (or person) referring to themselves as Lizard Squad launched a series of DDoS attacks against a whole host of online gaming networks. Among those affected were the PlayStation Network, Blizzard’s Battle.net, and Xbox Live among others.

Blizzard Raising UK World of Warcraft Subscriptions by £1
If you’re Blizzard and you’re hemorrhaging subscribers to your flagship game ahead of a hotly anticipated expansion pack, how do you make the money work? If the plan being implemented in the UK is any indication, it looks like you raise the prices.
Blizzard has announced that the monthly subscription prices for World of Warcraft gamers in the UK will increase by £1 per month.

DreamHack Summer Hearthstone Tournament Ends in Controversy
The biggest tournament in the short eSports history of Blizzard’s Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft card game should have been a landmark moment for the game. Instead, the tournament’s final duel resulted in a controversial finish to the event. While RDU won the tournament with a 3-0 win over Amaz, the fans certainly weren’t happy with how the final played out.

Blizzard Suing StarCraft II Map Hack Creators
Not only do you hate people who use cheats such as map hacking to ruin your StarCraft II experience, Blizzard hates them just as much. The developer and publisher of the top RTS game on the market filed a lawsuit in United States District Court in California against the makers of the “ValiantChaos MapHack.”

Just when you thought you were over your Hearthstone addiction, Blizzard drags you back in again. Blizzard used their PAX East panel to unveil the first expansion to the Hearthstone card collecting game: The Curse of Naxxramas single-player adventure mode.

Some companies do April 1st better than others. The one publisher that might just be the best at it is Blizzard. They used April Fools’ Day to have a little fun at their expense while poking fun at free-to-play games. Who says that April Fools’ jokes can’t be used for good.

Blizzard Closes the Diablo III Auction House
The gavel has banged for the final time in the controversial Diablo III auction house. The feature, whose addition was blamed for Diablo 3 having an always-online requirement, was closed on Tuesday ahead of next week’s launch of the Reaper of Souls DLC.
