The folks over at Dead Pixel Digital have created what looks to be the next great gaming viral video. Mario Kart is one of the best racing games out there (Crash Team Racing notwithstanding). Even Star Wars had a couple of racing games with the fantastic Star Wars: Racer and the kart racer Super Bombad Racing. But what happens when the two are combined into Star Wars-themed Mario Kart?

HBO Debuts Trailer for Game of Thrones Season Six
I realize that today’s trailer debut on Tuesday but we do Game of Thrones on Fridays of Ice and Fire. It doesn’t get more fun than a trailer for the upcoming season. Many familiar faces show up in this trailer and it gives us a quick glimpse into what many of them will be doing next season. It’s also a wicked thing for HBO to do since we still have to wait six weeks for the new season.

Movie Trailers Roundup for March 9, 2016
It’s time for the movie trailers roundup which means that we’ve reached the point in time where we have to include the new Ghostbusters movie in there. It’s a shame that they haven’t put any effort into the trailer. The movie certainly seems like a hybrid of Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters 2 in terms of plot with all the generic modern comedy jokes and tropes slapped on top. Ghostbusters is a movie that has jokes that work for kids but throws enough other jokes, references and material that it holds up to repeated viewings over twenty years after I first watched it. Maybe it’s just the trailer, but 2016’s Ghostbusters looks like another dime-a-dozen comedy that’s exploiting an established franchise for a quick buck.

BBC Asks Peter Capaldi to Stay on Doctor Who
Back in January, the BBC announced that Steven Moffat would be stepping down as showrunner of Doctor Who at the conclusion of its next season in 2017. Upon learning that, fans immediately began to speculate what that meant for lead actor Peter Capaldi. In an interview with the Radio Times, Capaldi says that the choice to stay on is his.

Movie Trailers Roundup for March 2, 2016
I guess that Hollywood was too busy politicking for the Oscars to cut trailers for this week’s roundup. There are only five trailers that we have in this week’s roundup. Most of the movies strike me as ones that would go over well at Film Festivals. Makes me think I should go to more film festivals now that I say it.

Movie Trailers Roundup for February 10, 2016
This week’s set of ten movie trailers is mostly the festival crop of movies. High-Rise, Demolition and The Lobster all feature in this week’s movie trailers roundup but they were also gala presentations at TIFF. I couldn’t get tickets to them because TIFF tickets are really damn hard to get. I mean, the second showing of Freeheld (only worth it for Ellen Page’s performance) was almost sold out and that was a Monday matinee.
And it all kicks off with Jaime Lannister vs. King Leonidas in Gods of Egypt. I get the feeling this might that many, many people would enjoy those two in a kick-ass brawl.

Doctor Who Leaves US Netflix, BBC Likely to Launch Streaming Service
If you woke up on Monday and noticed something missing from your Netflix queue, you’re probably not alone. On February 1st, Doctor Who left Netflix in the US and rumours suggest that the BBC will soon be announcing their own streaming service which will see Doctor Who as one of its featured exclusives.
