Without a new episode of Doctor Who this weekend, I’m a little lost. I don’t know about you but it takes me a bit to adjust when a show that was appointment viewing for me ends its run. To help tide you (and I) over for a bit, here’s a video of the fakest websites and apps featured on Doctor Who. Maybe we should write it off a wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey.

Lucasfilm Animation Lives Again with Star Wars Rebels
Just when we thought that Disney was hellbent on gutting Star Wars to make itself money, we got a little glimmer of hope yesterday. Lucasfilm and Disney announced that the Lucasfilm Animation division is getting to work on a new series set between Episodes III and IV called Star Wars Rebels.
The series will, obviously, explore the previously largely unexplored two decades between the prequel trilogy and the start of the original trilogy that we all know and love. The story will focus on the Galactic Empire stamping out the last remains of the Republic and the Jedi Knights while the rebellion starts to form.
Patton Oswalt’s Vision for Star Wars Episode VII Gets Animated
Patton Oswalt’s seven-and-a-half minute citizen’s filibuster of Pawnee City Council outlining his vision for Star Wars: Episode VII has been animated by Isaac Moores. It’s just as epic as the first time you saw it.
Karl Urban Says We Might Get a Dredd Sequel
Long time readers of the blog know that I’m a big Judge Dredd fan. That fandom extends to last year’s Dredd movie which was absolutely fantastic and I think it was every bit as good as The Dark Knight Rises.
Now, Judge Dredd himself, Karl Urban, while talking about his latest go as Dr. Leonard McCoy suggested that a vocal fan base could convince the studio to make a Dredd sequel. Is this the point when I go “LOUD NOISES!?”
Doctor Who: The Name of The Doctor Review
Well, Saturday night’s season finale of Doctor Who happened. I’m not really sure how else to introduce it. Even taking a day to digest that episode, I’m not really sure what to think of it. I never went into it thinking that Steven Moffat would give The Doctor a proper Gallifreyan name but that was my only expectation going into this episode.
What we got was an episode that relied heavily on doses of nostalgia and Matt Smith’s acting to get us by. Not surprisingly, it answered some questions about Clara and asked some new ones for the 50th Anniversary Special.
Before the Doctor Who Finale, Check Out This Teaser
The BBC calls it a prequel to tomorrow night’s season finale of Doctor Who but I refuse to call it such a daft title. It’s a short-form teaser about what we can expect to be revealed in tomorrow night’s episode of Doctor Who. Mild spoilers follow.
Everything Wrong with Abrams’ Star Trek
With Star Trek Into Darkness (which inexplicably doesn’t have a colon in the title) coming out tomorrow, what better time is there to look at everything wrong with 2009’s Star Trek reboot.
The Crumbling Remains Of Tatooine
May 15
This gallery contains 10 photos.
Let’s do another Star Wars post today. New York based photographer Ra di Martino undertook a project in which she went to Tunisia to find the remains of Tatooine. However, time hasn’t been kind to the buildings in Mos Eisley, Mos Espa and the Lars’ Homestead. In her “No More Stars” and “Every World’s a […]
The Periodic Table of Star Wars
Did you know that next week marks the 36th anniversary of the release of Star Wars (since rechristened Episode IV: A New Hope)? That really has nothing to do with this Periodic Table of the original Star Wars trilogy. I just thought that was a neat fact that I could use as an intro.
