West Coast Customs Builds GTA’s Banshee
In the Grand Theft Auto games, the Banshee has a reputation for being one of the fastest cars in the game. It was only fitting considering that the two design templates used for the car since GTA3 were the Chevrolet Corvette and Dodge Viper.
Now, it’s not just a hot car circulating through the likes of Liberty City, Vice City and Los Santos. It can now be found on real streets after a one-off custom Banshee was built by famous car customizing shop West Coast Customs.
If the name West Coast Customs seems familiar from somewhere, that’s because WCC was the car customizing shop used on the hit MTV series Pimp My Ride for the show’s first four seasons.
WCC took an existing car (which was left unidentified) and added a custom body to it to make it a “screen-accurate reproduction” of the Banshee you’ll drive on the streets of Los Santos in GTA5. The car also has a custom-designed interior that includes carbon inlays in the dash and leather seats. As for what’s under the hood of the Banshee, WCC isn’t telling. I kind of hope that its performance gets close to the video game version of the Banshee.
Even cooler, you can win this car from GameStop as part of promotion for GTA5 if you are a member of their rewards program. In addition to the car, the winner also gets a $70,000 cash prize.
But enough telling you about the car. Here’s a gallery of the Banshee.
