Movie Trailers Roundup for February 10, 2016

This week’s set of ten movie trailers is mostly the festival crop of movies. High-Rise, Demolition and The Lobster all feature in this week’s movie trailers roundup but they were also gala presentations at TIFF. I couldn’t get tickets to them because TIFF tickets are really damn hard to get. I mean, the second showing of Freeheld (only worth it for Ellen Page’s performance) was almost sold out and that was a Monday matinee.

And it all kicks off with Jaime Lannister vs. King Leonidas in Gods of Egypt. I get the feeling this might that many, many people would enjoy those two in a kick-ass brawl.

Game Trailers Roundup for February 8, 2016

Do we have a busy edition of the game trailers roundup for you this week. There are twelve trailers for you to watch (or skip) this week.

Most of the trailers are from the big triple-A companies. We have the launch trailer for XCOM 2 along with various announcements and reveals for the likes of Doom, Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst, Hitman and Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens. We also saw an announcement for The Culling which looks like Battle Royale. I’m actually surprised that hasn’t been done sooner.

Movie Trailers Roundup for February 3, 2016

After a week off, the Movie Trailers Roundup is back. We have seven trailers this week and it’s a split between kids/family movies and horror movies. It’s a rather unusual contrast but seeing as family movies are more traumatizing than horror flicks, it’s oddly appropriate too.

Game Trailers Roundup for February 1, 2016

Detective Picachu! That’s all you need to know about this week’s Game Trailers Roundup.

Okay… Fine… There are ten other trailers that you can watch too. There are launch trailers for American Truck Simulator and Defunct which are both on my Steam wishlist. We also have announcement trailers for Insomniac’s Song of the Deep and Platinum’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan. This is a good week for trailers.

Game Trailers Roundup for January 25, 2016

Another week, another roundup of video game trailers from the last week. Unlike the last few weeks, we actually have quite a few trailers this week. There are ten trailers in this week’s roundup, though most of them are for indie games which might not be everyone’s jam. However, one trailer is for Twitch smash hit Blade & Soul in case you wanted to find out what that’s about.

Movie Trailers Roundup for January 20, 2016

You know, it’s interesting seeing how much less cyclical the movie industry is than the games industry. These movie trailer roundups are consistently pretty packed with big movies. While the games industry is built around the fall (and March to a lesser extent), movies go year-round with bigger pushes in the summer and at Christmas. So even though the spring is relatively quiet for the movie industry, we still have more movie trailers than game trailers this week.

Anyway, there are seven trailers for you to watch this week. Suicide Squad is the big new trailer of the week and it admittedly looks pretty fun. Since it’s a DC movie rather than TV show, I still might wait for people to watch first and report back before I see it. I’m most looking forward to 10 Cloverfield Lane, the apparent sequel to Cloverfield which I quite enjoyed before the motion sickness set in. And for other folk, there are trailers for Neighbours 2 and Blue Mountain State.

Game Trailers Roundup for January 18, 2016

It’s a quick little video game trailers roundup for you this week. There are only five trailers for you to watch. That includes the cult hit That Dragon, Cancer which I understand is good but I’m not sure I want to play it.

Movie Trailers Roundup for January 13, 2016

It’s officially awards season in Hollywood! That means absolutely nothing to the Movie Trailers Roundup. I’m not sure you’ll see too many awards contenders releasing trailers now.

That being said, this week’s roundup has six trailers featuring some of the stars of Hollywood. Hiddleston, Portman, Kenobi, Owen Lars, the Coens, Spacey and McConaughey all feature in the roundup. That’s some serious star power coming soon.

Game Trailers Roundup for January 11, 2016

It seems a little unusual but January is shaping up to be a busier month for gaming than December. Today’s Game Trailers Roundup has eight trailers for you to watch. That’s better than last week’s post and that had three weeks’ worth of trailers.

We have three trailers for games that come out this month along with a beta that comes out this week. There are also a couple of announcement and gameplay trailers to round out the roundup.

Movie Trailers Roundup for January 6, 2016

Unlike the three-week break that we took for the Game Trailers Roundup, the Movie Trailers Roundup returns with actual trailers. Because Christmas is a big time for movie releases and movie watching, distributors want to get people hyped for their upcoming movies. That’s why we have nine movie trailers for you to watch this week.

A lot of these trailers are for blockbusters. Deadpool, X-Men, Godzilla and Triple 9 all have trailers that came out over the last three weeks. There are also trailers for three animated kids movies if you’re looking for a movie adventure for the youngins.
