Movie Trailers Roundup for April 13, 2016

It’s been a while since we’ve done one of these too. In fact, it’s been over a month since we gathered all of the week’s movie trailers into one handy post that we call the Movie Trailers Roundup.

We have eight trailers in this week’s roundup. Since we have that post dedicated to Rogue One, it’s not in here. However, this fall’s other mega blockbusters, Fantastic Beasts and Doctor Strange, are in the roundup. Along with them are new trailers for Suicide Squad and TMNT2. There is no shortage of action movie trailers for you to watch today.

Game Trailers Roundup for April 11, 2016

It’s been a while since I’ve done a post over here on etg but I’ve finally got a little bit of time to actually do some writing. For example, tomorrow is the day our Rise of the Tomb Raider review drops. It took a while but it is 2,000 words so I’m not scrimping on value. By the end of the week, I’m hoping to have a review of the second episode of The Walking Dead: Michonne.

Anyway, you’re not here to read me prattle on about plans for the blog for the week. You’re here for video game trailers. We have nine trailers from the last week in gaming. Those trailers include launch trailers for indie hits Enter the Gungeon, Job Simulator and The Banner Saga 2. And there are trailers for little games like Star Fox Zero and Battleborn too.

Game Trailers Roundup for March 28, 2016

It’s been a couple of weeks since we’ve done the weekly Game Trailers Roundup but it’s certainly a good week to put the roundup back in action. After all, we have twelve trailers for you to watch this week from the big triple-As through to the indies. Of course, this week’s trailers are headlined by the launch trailer for Dark Souls III but there are also trailers for the VR-exclusive Chronos, indie Hyper Light Drifter and in-development triple-As like Uncharted 4 and Battleborn.

Movie Trailers Roundup for March 9, 2016

It’s time for the movie trailers roundup which means that we’ve reached the point in time where we have to include the new Ghostbusters movie in there. It’s a shame that they haven’t put any effort into the trailer. The movie certainly seems like a hybrid of Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters 2 in terms of plot with all the generic modern comedy jokes and tropes slapped on top. Ghostbusters is a movie that has jokes that work for kids but throws enough other jokes, references and material that it holds up to repeated viewings over twenty years after I first watched it. Maybe it’s just the trailer, but 2016’s Ghostbusters looks like another dime-a-dozen comedy that’s exploiting an established franchise for a quick buck.

Oh, and there are six other trailers to watch too.

Game Trailers Roundup for March 7, 2016

It’s time to end the day with a look at the video game trailers from the week that was in the Game Trailers Roundup. There was a Nintendo Direct last week which means that we have five Nintendo trailers of the twelve in this week’s roundup. We have launch trailers, announcement trailers and Codemasters even put together a trailer of community footage for Dirt Rally.

Movie Trailers Roundup for March 2, 2016

I guess that Hollywood was too busy politicking for the Oscars to cut trailers for this week’s roundup. There are only five trailers that we have in this week’s roundup. Most of the movies strike me as ones that would go over well at Film Festivals. Makes me think I should go to more film festivals now that I say it.

Game Trailers Roundup for February 29, 2016

I could be wrong but this is the last chance that we’ll get to do the Game Trailers Roundup on a February 29th for the next 28 years. I somehow doubt that I’ll be around doing this in 2044 but stranger things have happened.

The big feature in this week’s roundup is Uncharted 4 which made waves for including art from Assassin’s Creed IV in the original story trailer so we have the updated one for you to watch. Nintendo has trailers for the new Pokemon games as well as Bravely Second. Oh, and there’s also Superhot. Super. Hot. Super. You get it by now.

Game Trailers Roundup for February 22, 2016

Apologies for the lack of content lately. I’ve been busy travelling with work last week and I was felled with a bad cold/flu and nasty kitchen knife cut this weekend. So I’m not exactly typing one-handed right now but I’m only using my index finger on my left hand to type right now and it’s incredibly annoying.

Anyway, it’s Monday which means that we have to catch you up on the latest video game trailers from the last week. We have a couple of triple-A launch trailers for you for Street Fighter V and PvZ: Garden Warfare 2. There are a pair of Pokemon trailers for both classic Pokemon and Pokken Tournament. And we have six more trailers for you to watch after that.

Movie Trailers Roundup for February 17, 2016

While yesterday’s game trailers were a little lacking in quantity, there’s no such complaint for the movie trailers. Today’s movie trailers roundup has eleven trailers for you to watch. It’s a mix of action, comedy and thrillers this week.

Game Trailers Roundup for February 16, 2016

This week’s game trailers roundup is a little shorter than the last few weeks with only five trailers for you. On the plus side, they’re all for triple-A games. We’re reaching that time of year where the big publishers are trying to get games out the door for their year-end financial results. That six month window from October through March sure is a great time to be a gamer.
