Players Say They Haven’t Been Paid for IPL 5

StarCraft II Dropped from MLG Columbus Championship

mlg-sc2-bannerIf you’re a fan of the North American StarCraft II scene, now might be a good time to worry. Yesterday, Major League Gaming co-founder and CEO Sundance DiGiovanni tweeted that MLG’s November championship event in Columbus will not include a StarCraft II tournament.

As a result of this move by MLG, there are no major SC2 LAN tournaments held in North America.

Game of StarCraft

I’ve missed my Friday Game of Thrones posts. I’m actually kind of shocked that I haven’t done a single GoT post in four weeks. Fortunately, I have something cool for you today.

YouTube user Tolkfan has put together the Game of Thrones intro using StarCraft footage. It’s pretty damn cool and very reminiscent of the real intro.

Building (Critical) Consensus: StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm

The RTS world begins and ends with Blizzard’s StarCraft series. People love it so much that I don’t recall much in the way of complaining when Blizzard said that StarCraft II would come out in three parts focused on each of the three species in the game. It launched with Wings of Liberty in 2010. Last week, the first expansion pack for SC2 was launched. Did the critics think Heart of the Swarm lived up to the franchise?
