Jurassic World Will Stomp Into Theatres in 2015
Yeah, that was the best dinosaur pun I could come up with…
After being only a rumour since the release of Jurassic Park III back in 2001, there will be a fourth movie in the Jurassic Park franchise. The movie formerly referred to as Jurassic Park IV will officially be called Jurassic World and will hit theatres on June 12, 2015.
Jurassic World will be produced by Steven Spielberg and directed by Colin Trevorrow. Trevorrow also co-wrote a draft of the screenplay along with Derek Connolly.
Universal Pictures has promised a new dinosaur villain for this film. I’m hoping for a herbivore to be the villain because no one ever expects the vegetarian dinosaurs to be the aggressive ones. Maybe a brontosaurus (it’s still real to me, dammit) with velociraptor minions?
The announcement of Jurassic World comes on the heels of the 3D re-release of Jurassic Park earlier this year which earned a reported $114 million at the box office. Naturally, Jurassic World will be filmed in 3D.

I hope it’s not as big a turd as the other sequels.
