Don’t Expect Forever Evil #7 Until May

forever-evil-7-headerWe’re you looking forward to the final chapter of DC’s big universe-wide Forever Evil event in the eponymous miniseries? Well, you may have to wait a little bit to read that. DC Comics has quietly delayed the release of Forever Evil #7 back to May 21st.

At first, DC delayed the release of Forever Evil #7 from March 26th (last week) to April 16th. The next week, DC pushed the issue back another five weeks to May 21st.

The big problem is that the conclusion of the Forever Evil storyline is tied to future storylines of several DC Comics series. The delay of Forever Evil #7 is also causing a delay in the release of the next two issues of Justice League with #29 dropping on April 16th rather than April 2nd and #30, the first post Forever Evil issue, on May 21st. Justice League of America #14 will release alongside JL #30 and Forever Evil #7 on May 21st. Nightwing #30 and Suicide Squad #30 will launch one week later on May 28th.

So far, there’s no word from DC as to the reason for the delay. Any delay in this DC-verse-wide storyline is a pretty big deal for the company since it holds up almost everything else.
