The legal and public relations teams at EA and BioWare aren’t going to be happy but pre-alpha footage of Dragon Age: Inquisition recorded from a screen at DigiExpo 2013 has found its way to the internet.
The video gives us a reasonably good look at the visuals of the game, some questing and some combat. Watch it soon because I don’t expect EA or BioWare to leave this up for long.
It’s a shame that this is going to get pulled. At least, I assume that it’s not for long on YouTube. Most game companies don’t approve of unauthorized footage hitting the internet.
The reason it’s a shame is because this get people excited for the game. Leaked footage without the hands of PR all over it will do more to promote a game than a sizzle reel. It’s an honest piece of footage and people will be able to get a real idea of whether this game is something they’re interested in or not. That’s probably why it’s coming down. I’m sure more PR people think that if you can’t control the message, it’s probably a bad thing.
Sorry I’m not talking about the video more. I’ve scrambled this post together to get the video out to the readers before EA/BioWare gets a hold of it.
