Back in March,  Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Senior Vice President Michael Denny seemed to let the cat out of the bag that the next instalment in the Gran Turismo series might be coming out this year. Now, GT devs Polyphony Digital are doing their own teasing of the next Gran Turismo game.

To mark 15th anniversary of the first Gran Turismo game, Polyphony is holding an event at the Silverstone Circuit and are teasing some big news. Given that the teaser trailer ended with “Gran Turismo _,” it’s likely that the blank is to be filled in with a “6.” Either that or a Gran Turismo racing series.

The biggest question ahead of that announcement next Thursday is which console GT6 will be on. It could conceivably be a launch title for the PlayStation 4 but SCEE VP Michael Denny did say it would be a PS3 title.
