This Fan-Made Lego Normandy SR-2 is Eight-Feet of Awesome

Putting together a Lego set isn’t the hardest thing in the world to if the instructions make sense. Making your own Lego model of a complex video game spaceship is something else entirely. But that’s exactly what Flickr user ktorrek did and he didn’t skimp on the bricks. He built an 8-foot long model of the Normandy SR-2 from the Mass Effect trilogy.

Why an eight-foot long model, you might ask? That’s so it was built to scale compared to his Lego Normandy SR-1.

Fun fact: According to ktorrek, at one point he had purchased every 2×4 black brick in North America off of Bricklink. I guess you only need a couple of bricks to build an eight-foot long Normandy model out of Legos. Well, if 15,000 bricks constitutes a couple of bricks.
